THE SHOOTS

The focus is on the feeling inside the frame, not on the one perfect shot. Before the day, Sister Studio plans the mood, the locations and the shot list, so the brand’s world comes through in every image.

THE PROCESS

Brief: the brand, the audience, and where the content will appear.

Direction: the mood, the look and the shot list, agreed before production.

Production and delivery: the shoot or build, then files in the formats each channel needs.

RECENT WORK

Sister Studio created stills and video carousels for Decadorn, a Bath-based handmade gemstone jewellery brand, for the launch of its Create Your Own configurator. The work ran over two days at the Decadorn studio. The first day covered editorial product stills of the jewellery alongside the tools that make it.

The second day followed the full Create Your Own journey, from arriving at the studio to the finished piece, packaged and ready to give. The idea was to show the hands that choose, make and give, so the process is as visible as the jewellery. Stills were delivered in 9:16 with room to crop to square and 3:4, and the raw carousel footage went to the brand alongside the edits, so it can be used across social, email, ads and the website.

PLANNING STORYBOARDS

Every content project starts on paper. Before a shoot or build, Sister Studio plans each piece: the shot order, the mood, the movement and any text on screen. The client sees the storyboards and mocks before anything is produced, so changes are made in a conversation rather than on a reshoot day.

For Decadorn’s Create Your Own range, Sister Studio produced mocks for the stills and video carousels before production began.

Hue & Holasz

Designing a logo is just the start, and the content we create is where a brand really comes to life.

Annalise is the heart and face of her brand, and the content aims to bring her world to life. The paintings she hunts across Europe, the layered, lived-in interiors they settle into, the warmth of a world carefully curated around them.

When shooting, the approach is less about the perfect frame and more about the feeling inside it. Close in, considered, looking for the mood within a moment rather than just the surface of one.
